Job summary

Accelerated People Management Ltd is seeking a Technical Surveyor for Heat Pumps & Solar PV in Gloucester. The role focuses on technical surveys, site supervision and project delivery, building on your hands-on heating experience to ensure installation quality and technical standards.

You will support subcontractors, contribute to design information and help grow the renewables delivery team across England and Wales, with travel as required and a clear path toward senior technical leadership.

Qualifications

• Strong practical experience installing Air Source Heat Pumps and relevant heating, HVAC qualifications.
• Experience in technical surveys, site supervision and project delivery.
• Ability to check installation quality and resolve technical issues on live projects.
• Willingness to travel and stay away when required.

Responsibilities

• Carrying out technical surveys for Air Source Heat Pump and Solar PV projects, assessing heat losses, radiators, pipework and equipment locations
• Preparing technical survey information for system design and supporting site planning and project delivery
• Supervising subcontractors, checking installation quality and resolving technical issues across live projects
• Checking commissioning and handover documentation while progressing towards Nominated Technical Supervisor responsibilities

Technical Surveyor (Heat Pumps & Solar PV)
Gloucester

An excellent opportunity for an experienced Heat Pump Engineer or Heating Engineer looking to move off the tools and progress into a Technical Surveyor position. You'll use your hands-on knowledge across technical surveys, site supervision and project delivery, taking greater responsibility for installation quality and technical standards while developing your career within renewable energy.

The business delivers renewable energy projects across Heat Pumps and Solar PV and is continuing to develop its delivery capability across England and Wales. With ongoing projects in the Gloucestershire area and a growing workload further afield, they are looking for an experienced heating professional who can provide technical leadership, support subcontractors and play an important role in developing the wider renewables delivery team.

As a Technical Surveyor, your responsibilities will include:

• Carrying out technical surveys for Air Source Heat Pump and Solar PV projects, assessing heat losses, radiators, pipework and equipment locations
• Preparing technical survey information for system design and supporting site planning and project delivery
• Supervising subcontractors, checking installation quality and resolving technical issues across live projects
• Checking commissioning and handover documentation while progressing towards Nominated Technical Supervisor responsibilities

The successful Technical Surveyor should have:

• Strong practical experience installing Air Source Heat Pumps with relevant heating, HVAC and heat pump qualifications
• Good understanding of heat-loss calculations, low-temperature heating systems, pipework and system requirements
• Qualifications and experience suitable for progressing into a Heat Pump Nominated Technical Person / Technical Supervisor position
• Strong communication and organisation skills, with a full UK driving licence and willingness to travel and stay away when required
