Job summary

UKNNL is seeking a Technical Support Officer (Consignment and Flasking) to ensure compliance with consignment and flasking operations at Workington Lab and Sellafield. You will supervise dangerous goods movements and maintain auditable records to support uninterrupted facility operation.

The role requires experience with safe systems of work, an industrial environment background, and strong teamwork. DV clearance readiness is expected, with training on DGDO and related roles.

Qualifications

• Experience with safe systems of work and related documentation.
• Experience in an industrial setting.
• Strong communication and organisational skills in a team.
• Experience with dangerous goods is desired.
• Proficiency in Word and Excel.

Responsibilities

• Provide support for ILW waste consignments to Sellafield.
• Manage Waste Liabilities costings for laboratories.
• Assist in compliance roles (DGDO, RMC, ILW Coordinator, COSHH, LEC).
• Verify Safe Systems of Work and initiate remedial actions as needed.
• Coordinate dangerous goods transport on/off site and support audits.
