Job summary

Viqu Energy Limited is seeking a motivated Graduate Technical Support Engineer to join our Liverpool team. The role focuses on solar inverters and battery storage technologies, delivering product guidance and technical support across the UK.

You will learn by working with experienced engineers and sales teams, helping resolve customer queries and supporting product introductions. Training and development will be provided to foster growth in renewable energy expertise.

About the Role

A growing renewable energy technology organisation is looking for a motivated Graduate Technical Support Engineer to join its team in Liverpool.

Specialising in solar inverters, battery storage systems and related renewable energy technologies, the business supports customers across the UK with product guidance, technical support and after-sales service.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone at the beginning of their career to develop technical knowledge within the renewable energy sector. Working closely with experienced technical and sales teams, you will help resolve customer queries, support product introductions and build your understanding of solar and battery storage technologies. Training and development will be provided.

About You

You are enthusiastic about technology and renewable energy, with an interest in understanding how products work and helping customers resolve technical issues. You have good communication skills, a methodical approach to problem-solving and the ability to learn new systems and explain technical information clearly.

You may be a recent graduate or have some experience in a technical, engineering, customer support or electrical environment. A background in renewable energy would be beneficial, but it is not essential for anyone with the right attitude and willingness to learn.

You will be comfortable working collaboratively with colleagues, supporting customers remotely and travelling to customer sites when required. A full UK driving licence would be advantageous.

Essential Experience & Qualifications

• Degree, qualification or relevant interest in engineering, electrical systems, renewable energy or a related technical field.
• Good communication skills and the ability to explain information clearly to customers and colleagues.
• A logical, problem-solving approach and willingness to investigate technical issues.
• Good organisational skills and the ability to manage customer enquiries effectively.
• A proactive attitude with an interest in learning about solar inverters, battery storage and renewable energy technologies.
• Ability to work independently when required while contributing to a wider team.
• Confidence using computers and learning new technical systems and software.
• Willingness to travel to customer sites and attend meetings when required.

Desirable:

• Previous experience in technical support, customer service, engineering or a field-based role.
• Knowledge of solar PV systems, inverters or battery storage.
• An electrical or engineering qualification.
• Experience supporting customers, installers or other technical stakeholders.
• A full UK driving licence.
• Interest in developing a long-term career within the renewable energy industry.
