Job summary

Renewable Careers Limited in London is seeking a graduate engineer to join our expanding engineering team, supporting projects across wind, solar and BESS from feasibility to commissioning. You'll gain hands-on responsibility early and work across technologies.

This role offers hybrid working from our London office, a structured development plan with mentoring from senior engineers, exposure to full project lifecycles, and a path to chartership.

Qualifications

• A degree (2:1 or above) in engineering: electrical, mechanical, renewable energy, civil or a related discipline.
• A genuine interest in renewable energy and the UK's energy transition.
• Strong analytical skills and confidence working with data.
• Clear written and verbal communication, and the ability to explain technical topics simply.
• A proactive, curious approach: you ask questions, take ownership and want to learn.
• The right to work in the UK.
• Experience through internships, placements or university projects in energy is welcome but not essential. We hire for aptitude and attitude, and we will invest in your development.

Responsibilities

• Support the design and technical review of wind, solar and BESS projects, from feasibility through to construction.
• Carry out energy yield assessments, site analyses and technical due diligence.
• Work with grid connection applications and liaise with network operators.
• Review technical documentation from contractors, consultants and equipment suppliers.
• Support construction and commissioning activities, with site visits across the UK.
• Monitor and analyse the performance of our operational assets, identifying improvements.
• Contribute to internal tools, processes and standards as our portfolio grows.

About us

We develop, build and own renewable energy assets across the UK, with a growing portfolio spanning onshore wind, solar and battery energy storage (BESS). As an owner-operator, we manage projects through their entire lifecycle: from early-stage development and consenting through construction and into long-term operation. Our London team is expanding, and we are looking for a graduate engineer to grow with us.

The role

You will join our engineering team supporting projects at every stage of the pipeline. This is a genuine development role: you will work across technologies, learn from experienced engineers, and take on real responsibility early. Day to day, you will:

• Support the design and technical review of wind, solar and BESS projects, from feasibility through to construction
