Job Description

Job Summary:
Become an integral part of the PowerGen Technical Support team. Provide technical support across all aspects of Rolls Royce Solutions power generation products and associated balance of plant, from initial conception to end-of-life. Responsible for day-to-day technical support for sales solutions, aftersales, and parts inquiries, both internally and externally.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Promote a zero harm culture by ensuring HSQE requirements are met.
  2. Deliver first-class customer liaison and fulfill technical support requests.
  3. Provide technical support for Sales Solutions, aftersales, and end-user support across the product range, including electrical, mechanical, and controls, for the UK, Ireland, and overseas territories.
  4. Maintain project technical files (drawings, wiring diagrams, O&M manuals).
  5. Design, build, test, and commission control circuits as needed.
  6. Keep accurate records via the CEC platform.
  7. Lead resolution of technical issues promptly.
  8. Follow up on tasks passed to the CCC to ensure timely resolution.
  9. Support development and review of Work Instructions, Processes, and Spare Parts database.
  10. Provide technical reports and presentations as required.
  11. Write Method Statements and assist with Risk Assessments.
  12. Maintain liaison with internal and external departments and participate in cross-departmental interactions.
  13. Visit integrators and customers, building long-term relationships.
  14. Attend customer witness testing when required.
  15. Support and deliver training programs.
  16. Lead development of new technical solutions.
  17. Continuously improve technical competence and related processes.
  18. Support the PowerGen service team with occasional site visits.

Person Profile:
Enthusiastic, with good communication skills, able to work independently and in a team. Capable of managing tasks and prioritizing effectively. Qualified or willing to work towards MTU power generation products and balance of plant knowledge. Mechanical and electrical experience required. Willing to travel within the UK, ROI, and occasionally overseas for training. The role is office-based with some travel expected.

Computer skills: Proficient in MS Office; training provided for Rolls Royce Solutions software including SAP, C4S, CCC, MTU Go Care, MTU Business Portal & Warranty System.

Requirements: Full UK driving license, UK passport, fluent in English, strong writing and data analysis skills, minimum 5 years experience, relevant qualifications in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or similar, willing to work towards Professional registration, GCSE English and Maths or equivalent.
