Job summary

HSB Technical's client is seeking a Technical Support Engineer to join their team in Hampshire. The role combines office-based technical support with hands-on field work across the full range of products, including travel across the UK and internationally.

The successful candidate will provide expert technical support by phone, email, and on-site, develop product knowledge, and support installations, commissioning, warranty work and service visits.

Qualifications

• Hands-on mechanical experience and marine engineering background.
• Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting ability.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Highly organised with the ability to manage multiple tasks.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office.
• Willingness to travel UK and overseas with a full UK driving licence.
• Relevant marine engineering qualifications/certification.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support and advice via phone, email, and on site.
• Develop and maintain in-depth knowledge of the company's products (past and present).
• Carry out field-based support including warranty work, sea trials, commissioning, and service visits.
• Represent the company professionally when working on-site with customers and partners.
• Accurately document service work, installations, and commissioning activities.
• Collaborate with sales, design, quality, and production teams to provide feedback and drive product improvements.
• Support the ongoing development of the technical support function.
• Deliver training to customers and colleagues where required.
• Undertake additional duties as required by the management team.
