Job vacancy - Technical Support Engineer

Due to continued growth, our client is looking to employ a personable and motivated Technical Support Engineer. To take control of the service function and to manage the external service providers.

Responsibilities:

• Support Sales team, external engineers and customers with product information and technical support.
• Attend customer sites to repair product in the field.
• Train external service engineers as and when required.
• Retro-fitting equipment to fulfil customer orders.
• Source, catalogue and update the technical information held within the central system to ensure that as queries are answered, the information is easily accessible for all in the future.
• Ensure that correct documentation is submitted to the warehouse for any parts used during work carried out.

Qualifications:

To be successful in the role of Technical Support Engineer, we would like to speak to anyone who has experience in the following:

• Excellent telephone manner and the ability to build a good rapport with a wide range of customers.
• Able to work calmly under pressure and to deal competently and empathetically with others who may be angry or experiencing frustrating circumstances.
• Competent IT skills, able to use Word and Excel and other software as required. The ability to type at reasonable speed whilst speaking to customers on the phone is essential.
• Knowledge of CAD systems and HTML is advantageous.
• Ability to understand and retain product information.
