Job summary

Pinnacle Response Ltd in Belfast invites a hands-on engineer to join our team. You will develop and test firmware for Ambarella-based cameras, troubleshoot with partners, and deliver prompt customer support.

The role covers hardware repair, data analytics reports for key accounts, and coordinating with Sales to plan product delivery. A degree in Electronics/Computer Engineering and strong problem-solving skills are essential.

Qualifications

• University degree in Electronics Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field.
• Experience with hardware, servers, Wi‑Fi routers, 4G and related technologies.
• Experience debugging on real devices.
• Extensive 1st- to 3rd-line IT support experience and ticket management.
• Experience with cloud environments and security controls is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Implement and test firmware for Ambarella-based cameras.
• Collaborate with external partners on hardware/software troubleshooting and improvements.
• Resolve technical issues raised by customers promptly and effectively.
• Schedule remote support calls using Teams/Google Meet and similar tools.
• Perform hands-on hardware repairs using lab equipment.
• Oversee and automate delivery of technical reports and data analytics for key accounts.
• Assist Sales with camera trials, demos, and resolving technical issues quickly.
• Coordinate with Sales to plan product delivery and ensure timely despatch of cameras.
• Work independently with a can-do attitude while supporting the team.
• Contribute to new feature development when required.
• Ensure outputs meet quality standards, safety regulations, and compliance requirements.

Requirements:

• We require a university degree in Electronics Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
• We require good knowledge of hardware, servers, Wi-Fi routers, 4G, and related technologies.
• We require experience debugging on real devices.
• We require extensive experience in 1st to 3rd line IT support and managing tickets.
• We prefer experience managing user access, device compliance, and system security across cloud environments.
• We prefer experience with ISO 27001 and Cyber Essentials.
• We prefer working experience in the technology field.
• We require strong communication skills.
• We require strong problem-solving skills and a positive, proactive mindset.
• We require a go-getter attitude, ownership of tasks, urgency, and the ability to prioritise.
• We prefer a full UK driving licence, as travel to clients premises may be required.
