Job summary

Manchester City Council’s Information, Delivery and Support team is seeking a proactive individual to provide high quality technical, business and financial support to Planning, Building Control, Land Charges and Licensing, including reports and data governance.

The role requires strong communication, adaptability and the ability to lead and develop a team, delivering efficient services and supporting new procedures and systems.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high quality, efficient and courteous customer service functions
• Support in leading, managing, and developing a team of staff and building effective working relationships
• Support the development, implementation and monitoring of new administrative, technical, and business procedures and systems, ensuring that they continue to meet service needs and objectives in accordance with Council policies and legislative requirements
• Provide systems administration, technical support, and training for all of the services business systems and other ICT systems
• Produce reports to monitor performance objectives and targets which contribute to effective service delivery, including statutory returns to government
• Support the design, implementation and monitoring of cost recovery and financial models for Planning, Building Control, Licensing and Land Charges including monitoring income
• Monitor data quality and security and support the information governance functions including freedom of information requests, complaints, data breaches
