Job summary

Manchester City Council is seeking a proactive Information, Delivery and Support Officer to join our team in Greater Manchester. You will deliver high-quality customer service, support planning, building control, licensing and related ICT systems, and help monitor performance and compliance.

The role requires strong communication, problem-solving, and the ability to lead and develop a team while building effective relationships with colleagues and partners across the council.

Responsibilities

• delivering high quality, efficient and courteous customer service functions
• to be able to support in leading, managing, and developing a team of staff and building effective working relationships
• supporting the development, implementation and monitoring of new administrative, technical, and business procedures and systems, ensuring that they continue to meet service needs and objectives in accordance with Council policies and legislative requirements
• providing systems administration, technical support, and training for all of the services business systems and other ICT systems
• producing reports to monitor performance objectives and targets which contribute to effective service delivery, including statutory returns to government.
• supporting the design, implementation and monitoring of cost recovery and financial models for Planning, Building Control, Licensing and Land Charges including monitoring income.
• monitoring data quality and security and supporting the information governance functions including freedom of information requests, complaints, data breaches
