Job description

As a Technical Supervisor Airfields, you should demonstrate confidence, proactivity, and organizational skills, making you an ideal fit for this role. Your passion for delivering excellence is essential. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure that asphalt materials and laying quality meet specified requirements and performance standards, with a focus on high standards of asphalt laying.

This role involves meticulous planning, coordination, and team support in daily activities. You will be part of the esteemed Technical Team, reporting directly to the Technical Manager.

The position requires flexibility, including regular travel and working across various sites in the UK. You will be valued as part of the UK's largest independent construction materials group, with opportunities to contribute significantly to the company's success.

To excel, you must possess confidence, proactivity, and organizational skills, with a keen focus on asphalt quality. Attention to detail is crucial for conducting pavement quality testing and monitoring.

Responsibilities include sampling and testing asphalt materials, conducting on-site pavement quality testing, recording and reporting findings, laboratory testing on asphalt and aggregates, and managing workloads through liaising with technicians and suppliers. Ensuring compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations is vital. You may also undertake additional duties as assigned by management.

Key Responsibilities
  • Experience in this field is preferred but not essential; applications are welcome from practical, numerate, and literate individuals willing to learn and utilize available training.
  • Maintain a flexible, proactive, and hands-on approach, with effective communication, problem-solving, and IT skills.
  • Engage confidently and courteously with colleagues and clients at all levels, working independently and within teams.
