Energy Jobline ZR is seeking a commercially minded Technical Sales Manager to join our growing team in Swindon. This customer-facing role blends engineering knowledge with sales acumen to translate technical needs into practical, revenue-generating solutions.

You will liaise between customers, engineering, and internal teams to deliver tailored proposals, maintain long-term relationships, and uncover new business opportunities.

Qualifications

• Degree or equivalent in Engineering, Electronics, Physics, or related field.
• Strong communication skills with ability to explain technical concepts clearly.
• Customer-focused mindset with proactive problem-solving.
• Commercial awareness and interest in sales.

Responsibilities

• Engage with customers to understand technical requirements and application needs.
• Provide pre-sales technical support, including product selection and solution design.
• Prepare and deliver technical proposals, quotations, and presentations.
• Support the sales process from enquiry to order placement.
• Build and maintain strong, long-term customer relationships.
• Collaborate with internal engineering and product teams to ensure solutions meet customer expectations.
• Identify new business opportunities and markets.
• Maintain records of customer interactions and pipeline activity.
