Job summary

OCS UK & Ireland is seeking an experienced Facilities Compliance Specialist in Glasgow to ensure statutory and contractual compliance across a major estate. You will coordinate audits, drive corrective actions and report findings to the client.

Working Monday to Friday, 08:00 to 16:30, you will manage CAFM systems (ideally Concept Evolution), support energy management initiatives and build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders in a safety-focused team.

Qualifications

• Extensive knowledge of ACOP L8 & HSG 274.
• Trade qualification or Building Services qualification required.
• Experience with CAFM systems, ideally Concept Evolution.
• 10+ years in building services/FM.
• Knowledge of energy management and sustainability beneficial.
• Experience in a compliance or safety role desirable.

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance planned visits follow schedule and statutory requirements.
• Maintain 100% statutory and mandatory compliance and KPI adherence.
• Raise remedial works and advise on corrective actions.
• Collaborate with client to identify concerns and set goals.
• Define areas of responsibility to ensure clear collaboration.
• Document processes and procedures for client-site compliance.
• Complete site audits and report related compliance issues.

About The Role:

Days of Working: Monday to Friday - 08:00 to 16:30

Key Responsibilities:

• Ensure all compliance planned visits are undertaken in accordance with compliance schedule, and all maintenance is carried out in line with statutory and mandatory requirements.
• Ensure contract achieves 100% Statutory and mandatory compliance, KPI adherence and critical engineering asset framework protecting and enhancing of customer assets.
• Ensure all compliance planned visits are undertaken in accordance with compliance schedule, and all maintenance is carried out in line with statutory and mandatory requirements.
• Raise remedial works and advise on corrective measures as needed in order to maintain compliance and minimise risk on the estate.
• Work closely with the customer to identify areas of concern or improvement and set collective goals to achieve these.
• Establish areas of responsibility and formalise to avoid ambiguity and ensure effective collaboration.
• Documenting process and procedures required for ensuring compliance on the client site.
• Complete site audits in line with agreed programme and reporting any related compliance issues.

Key Hiring Criteria:

Skills

• High attention to detail
• Very high ability with Microsoft Office packages - particularly Excel
• Highly organised and strong planning skills
• Good ability to build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders

Experience

• 10+ years within building services / facilities management
• High understanding of FM service and contract delivery and commercial implications
• Understanding of different compliance areas within the built environment / FM
• Application and configuration of CAFM systems, ideally Concept Evolution
• Advantageous to have enhanced knowledge of energy management and sustainability initiative
• Experience in a compliance or safety role is desirable

Qualifications

• Essential to have extensive knowledge of ACOP L8 & HSG 274
• Candidates must be either trade qualified and experienced or qualified within a Building Services discipline.
• Advantageous to have professional registration of CIBSE / IEng with a relevant body
