Job summary

OCS UK & Ireland is hiring in Manchester for a Electrical Supervisor / Senior Maintenance role within our hard services team. You will lead maintenance programs, manage budgets, and support energy management while ensuring high safety and compliance standards.

The ideal candidate holds NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation with AM2 and ECS Gold Card, plus 18th Edition. You will drive operational excellence and mentor engineers in a fast-paced facility environment.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation is required.
• AM2 qualification preferred.
• ECS Gold Card for Electrical Installation or Maintenance is desirable.
• City and Guilds 18th Edition qualification is expected.
• Experience as electrical supervisor in a hard services environment preferred.
• Knowledge of CAFM systems and MS Office is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for service delivery including risk and compliance.
• Act as principal point of contact for technical and operational escalations, incidents, and failures.
• Manage all planned maintenance and reactive works.
• Provide technical and operational support to helpdesk and service functions.
• Support sustainability and energy management initiatives.
• Budgetary responsibility for a contract region and cost base.
• Lead by example in safety, diversity, and inclusive culture.
• Manage performance and engagement of direct engineer reports.

About The Role:

Days of Working: Variable shifts dependent upon business needs

Key Responsibilities:

• Responsible for service delivery including risk and compliance

• Leadership and lead by example in the culture of safety, opportunity, inclusiveness, and diversity.


• Managing the performance of all direct engineer reports on both a formal and informal basis including employee engagement, motivation, performance and absence management.

Key Hiring Criteria:

• NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation


• AM2 qualification


• ECS Gold Card (Installation or Maintenance Electrician)


• City and Guilds 18th Edition


• Electrical supervisor experience in similar role preferred


• HV AP


• Experience of working in a similar role for a Hard Services service provider.


• Strong technical engineering background working in a fast-paced hard services environment.


• Core technical qualification in Electrical, Mechanical or Building Fabric services.


• Demonstrate an understanding of the legislative requirements that impact the client’s site.


• Relevant H&S qualifications for the position (IOSH, NEBOSH, SMSTS).


• Good communication skills including presentation and written report writing.


• Excellent PC skills, including CAFM System (Concept, Maximo etc) Teams, Sharepoint, Excel.
