Job summary

ISS Facility Services UK in Yeovil is seeking an experienced Technical Services Manager to lead the delivery of hard services and engineering operations at a large, complex site. Qualifications

• Technical qualification or engineering background required.
• Facilities management experience preferred.
• Experience leading large engineering teams.
• Knowledge of health and safety and statutory maintenance requirements.

Responsibilities

• Leading the delivery of all technical and engineering services across site.
• Managing planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance programmes to ensure contractual SLAs and KPIs are achieved.
• Acting as the senior escalation point for technical and operational issues.
• Leading, developing and mentoring engineering and supervisory teams to drive performance and engagement.
• Managing subcontractors and specialist service providers to ensure safe, compliant and high-quality service delivery.
• Ensuring compliance with health, safety, statutory and regulatory requirements, including permits to work and safe systems of work.
• Working closely with asset management teams to maintain accurate asset information and support ISO 55001 asset management objectives.
• Building strong relationships with key stakeholders and customers to ensure service delivery aligns with business needs.

Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00am to 4:30pm

We're looking for an experienced Technical Services Manager to lead the delivery of hard services and engineering operations at a large, complex site in Yeovil. This is an exciting opportunity to join a growing account and play a key role in ensuring operational excellence, asset performance, compliance, and customer satisfaction.

As Technical Services Manager, you will take ownership of the site's technical services function, leading a team of up to 40 engineers and 6 supervisors. You'll be responsible for the safe, efficient and compliant delivery of planned and reactive maintenance activities while driving continuous improvement across engineering operations.

This role would suit a strong people leader with a technical background and a proven track record in facilities management, engineering services, building services or hard FM environments.

What You'll Be Doing

• Leading the delivery of all technical and engineering services across site.
• Managing planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance programmes to ensure contractual SLAs and KPIs are achieved.

What We're Looking For

• Proven experience managing technical services within a building services, engineering, facilities management or hard services environment.
• Strong leadership experience with the ability to motivate, develop and manage large technical teams.
• Experience overseeing both planned and reactive maintenance programmes.
• Knowledge of engineering compliance, statutory maintenance requirements and industry best practice.
• Commercial awareness with experience managing budgets, contracts and financial performance.
• Experience managing subcontractors and supplier relationships.
• Excellent stakeholder management and customer-facing skills.
• Strong problem-solving, decision-making and change management capabilities.
• Technical background within mechanical, electrical, building services or facilities engineering disciplines.

Qualifications & Experience

• Technical qualification or engineering background essential.
• Facilities Management experience preferred, but candidates from other technical or engineering sectors will also be considered
