Job summary

ISS Facility Services UK is seeking a Regional Engineering Manager to oversee delivery of Hard FM services across a portfolio of sites in Livingston, with regular regional travel. You will lead engineers and a Team Leader, ensuring safe, compliant, and efficient operations.

You will balance operational priorities with commercial objectives while maintaining high service standards and strong client relationships.

Qualifications

• Proven Facilities Management experience with a hard FM or technical bias.
• Experience leading engineering or multi-service FM teams.
• Strong understanding of statutory compliance, maintenance and engineering best practice.
• Experience managing PPM programmes and reactive maintenance delivery.
• Knowledge of HSEQ processes, RAMS, SOPs and COSHH.
• Audits and compliance activities experience.
• Budget management and financial performance experience.
• Excellent client-facing and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage a regional engineering team, providing guidance, support and performance management.
• Ensure delivery against KPIs, SLAs and service standards.
• Own statutory compliance and PPM programmes.
• Drive health, safety, environmental and quality requirements incl. safe systems of work.
• Manage labour resources and workforce planning.
• Monitor budgets and control costs to support account performance.
• Build relationships with clients, suppliers and stakeholders.
• Ensure robust reporting and account planning processes.
• Support continuous improvement across the portfolio.
• Act as escalation point in on-call rota.

Are you an experienced Facilities Management professional with a strong technical background and a passion for leading high-performing engineering teams?

We're looking for a Regional Engineering Manager to take ownership of operational delivery across a portfolio of sites, ensuring engineering excellence, statutory compliance, and exceptional customer service. As Regional Engineering Manager, you'll be responsible for overseeing the delivery of Hard FM services, leading a team of engineers and a Team Leader, and ensuring all sites operate safely, compliantly, and efficiently.

You'll act as the key point of contact for stakeholders, balancing operational priorities with commercial objectives while maintaining high standards across maintenance, compliance, and service delivery.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage a regional engineering team, providing guidance, support and performance management.
• Ensure delivery against agreed KPIs, SLAs and service standards.
• Take ownership of statutory compliance and planned preventative maintenance (PPM) programmes.
• Drive compliance with health, safety, environmental and quality requirements, including safe systems of work.
• Manage labour resources and workforce planning to support operational requirements.
• Monitor budgets, control costs and support overall account performance.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, suppliers and internal stakeholders.
• Ensure robust reporting, account planning and administration processes are maintained.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives and service excellence across the portfolio.
• Act as an escalation point within the on-call management rota.

About You

• Proven Facilities Management experience with a strong Hard FM or technical bias.
• Experience leading engineering or multi-service FM teams.
• Strong understanding of statutory compliance, maintenance and engineering best practice.
• Experience managing PPM programmes and reactive maintenance delivery.
• Knowledge of HSEQ processes, including RAMS, SOPs and COSHH.
• Experience supporting audits and compliance activities.
• Budget management and financial performance experience.
• Excellent client-facing and stakeholder management skills.
• Strong organisational, communication and problem-solving abilities.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and FM administration systems.
• Full UK driving licence.
• IOSH or NEBOSH qualification.
• Building services or engineering trade qualification/background.
