Job summary

Tela Technology is recruiting for a hybrid infrastructure engineer based in Glasgow. You will design, implement and support enterprise network infrastructure, including LAN/WAN, VPNs and security, while delivering projects and supporting end users with Microsoft 365.

The role requires Hyper‑V experience, MSP background, and valid UK work eligibility. A company van is provided for site visits and the team collaborates across sales and engineering.

Qualifications

• Proven hands-on experience designing, implementing, and supporting enterprise network infrastructure.
• Strong knowledge of LAN, WAN, WLAN, TCP/IP, routing and switching.
• Experience managing network security solutions, including firewalls, VPNs, and access control.
• Troubleshooting, performance optimisation and root cause analysis expertise.
• Experience delivering network projects, upgrades and infrastructure improvements.
• Experience deploying and managing Hyper-V servers.
• Two years of IT support experience in an MSP environment.
• Experience supporting end users with Microsoft 365 products.
• A full UK driving licence and eligibility to work in the UK.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot LAN/WAN, TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, Wi‑Fi, routing, switching, VPNs and firewalls.
• Support Microsoft 365, cloud and wider infrastructure technologies.
• Attend customer sites for installations, projects and break/fix work.
• Take ownership of technical issues through to resolution.
• Provide technical input and support for customer projects and solutions.
• Work with sales to provide technical advice and guidance.
• Provide second-line and escalation support across diverse customer environments.
• Support a key customer through growth, acquisitions and projects, including service desk work.

Salary: £35,000 - 38,000 per year

Requirements

• Networking certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, or WatchGuard are desirable; practical experience and technical ability are more important

This is a full-time, varied infrastructure engineering role focused primarily on supporting a key customer, with work spanning networking, infrastructure, customer support, project delivery, and escalation support. It is hybrid, based from our Glasgow office Tuesday to Thursday, with remote working and customer-site visits as required, approximately once a week. We provide a company van for site visits. The salary is £35,000-£38,000 per year, depending on experience.
