Job summary

Constant Recruitment Ltd in Edenbridge is seeking a Projects Engineer with a solid IT support foundation to join a growing MSP. The role involves on‑site delivery, configuring networks, and supporting customers across the UK, with travel and expenses covered.

You will gain project experience working alongside experienced engineers and project managers, with training and a clear route from IT support into project engineering. A bonus scheme is included with the basic salary.

Qualifications

• Experience in an IT support, infrastructure or field-engineering role.
• Good understanding of networking concepts such as DHCP, DNS, TCP/IP, VPNs, NAT, switches, firewalls, Wi‑Fi and VLANs.
• Some hands-on Microsoft 365 administration experience.
• Confident with configuring and troubleshooting PCs, laptops, servers and devices.
• Strong Windows troubleshooting including printers, email, OneDrive and network issues.

Responsibilities

• Assist with new client onboarding and environment builds.
• Support onsite discovery, documentation and technical setup for new customers.
• Configure and install network equipment.
• Support Microsoft 365 tenant setups and migrations.
• Assist with file migrations (SharePoint, OneDrive, server data).
• Prepare and deploy laptops, desktops, servers and devices.
• Assist Windows Server builds and upgrades.
• Support larger rollout projects like PC refreshes and device upgrades.
• Assist with Autopilot and modern device-management deployments.
• Install hardware, patch equipment and assist with rack builds.
• Trace cables and troubleshoot onsite installation issues.
• Help with Cyber Essentials-related work as needed.
• Resolve problems during project rollouts and hand over to support team.
• Travel to customer sites across the UK with expenses covered.

Salary: £28,000 - 30,000 per year

Requirements:

• Experience in an IT support, infrastructure or field-engineering role
• A good basic understanding of networking, including DHCP, DNS, TCP/IP, VPNs, NAT, switches, firewalls, Wi-Fi and VLANs
• Some hands‑on Microsoft 365 administration experience
• Confidence setting up and troubleshooting PCs, laptops, servers and other devices
• Good Windows troubleshooting skills, including printer, email, OneDrive and network connectivity issues
• An interest in project delivery and building new technical environments
• Good communication skills and a professional approach when working with customers
• A willingness to travel to client sites when required
• A full UK driving licence
