Job summary

Guardian Jobs is partnering with a global leader in AAC assistive technology in the UK, seeking a Technical Service Lead for a 12-month maternity cover. You will own the Service and Repairs function, lead a talented team, and ensure a responsive, reliable repair service.

You will diagnose complex faults, drive root cause investigations, and collaborate with Hardware Engineering to improve product reliability.

Qualifications

Technical qualification in electronics, engineering or related discipline.
Experience diagnosing, troubleshooting and repairing electronic products.
Proven experience leading technical teams.
Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
Experience using ERP systems.
Excellent troubleshooting and root cause analysis capability.
Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

Lead the day-to-day operation of the Service and Repairs team, coaching and developing members to build capability.
Support complex fault diagnosis and repairs, lead root cause investigations, and work with Hardware Engineering to improve reliability.
Collaborate across Customer Services, Production, Quality, Supply Chain and Engineering to improve processes and remove barriers.
Lead improvements to reduce turnaround times, improve reporting, and prepare the department for ISO 13485 compliance.
