Job summary

Shillito Group seeks a Technical Sales Manager to provide expert technical sales support, lead product demonstrations, deliver customer training, support trials and manage bids and tenders. The role carries commercial responsibility to identify and support new business opportunities while maintaining an accurate sales pipeline through Salesforce.

On-site in Anlaby, Hull with no remote option. Salary £50,000 plus £5,000 car allowance, plus benefits.

Qualifications

• Experience in technical sales, sales support, engineering or a similar customer-facing technical role.
• Ability to understand technical products and explain product selection, installation, operation and servicing clearly.
• Confident delivery of product demonstrations, training and technical presentations.
• Strong customer relationship, communication, presentation and influencing skills.
• Commercial mindset with the ability to identify and support new business opportunities.

Responsibilities

• Deliver product demonstrations, technical presentations and customer training.
• Provide expert guidance on product selection, installation, operation and servicing to customers and distributors.
• Support customer trials, roll-outs and implementation activities, troubleshooting technical issues as they arise.
• Lead or take ownership of technical responses to bids, tenders and formal customer enquiries.
• Work with the sales team to identify and develop new commercial opportunities and support pre- and post-sales activities.
• Build and maintain strong customer and distributor relationships; respond to customer and service enquiries.
