Job summary

SFR Recruitment Solutions are seeking a Technical Sales Manager for an architectural hardware client in the West Midlands. The role combines technical sales, key account management and project leadership with office and site activities.

Based in the West Midlands, the candidate will manage key customer accounts, develop new opportunities, interpret drawings and provide quotations while collaborating with design, manufacturing and production teams.

Qualifications

• Experience in architectural ironmongery and door hardware.
• Experience in technical sales, specification, scheduling, project management or key account management.
• Ability to interpret architects' drawings and produce door hardware schedules.
• Strong understanding of technical product selection and specification.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
• DipGAI qualification or working towards GA Diploma.
• Desire to develop technically and commercially.

Responsibilities

• Manage and develop a portfolio of key customer accounts.
• Build strong, long-term relationships with customers.
• Develop new business opportunities within existing and prospective accounts.
• Attend project meetings and provide technical advice on ironmongery solutions.
• Review project requirements and architects' drawings, and prepare schedules and quotations.
• Manage projects from enquiry to order and delivery, coordinating with design and production teams.
• Support growth of the business across UK and international markets.
