About Us:

SoilDri is a leading provider of innovative drying agents for the construction sector. We are expanding our reach across multiple utility sectors, including gas, electricity, water, telecommunications, hydrogen, and more. With a growing team and a commitment to excellence, we aim to support projects across various utilities, focusing on both large-scale infrastructure projects and maintenance works.

The Role:

We are seeking an experienced Technical Sales Manager to drive the adoption of SoilDri’s drying agents within the construction and utilities sectors. The successful candidate will be pivotal in building relationships, offering technical expertise, and fostering sales growth within these industries. This includes targeting both large-scale utility projects as well as infrastructure maintenance, with a particular focus on AMP8 frameworks, street works, and highway repair and maintenance projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute a strategic sales plan with the Director of Strategic Growth (DOSG) to expand SoilDri’s presence across multiple utility sectors, including gas, electricity, water, telecoms, hydrogen, and highways, with an emphasis on AMP8 and street works materials.
  • Identify and engage with key stakeholders such as Clients, Contractors, Designers, Civil Engineers, Project Managers, Procurement Teams, Sustainability and Compliance Teams across the utilities sectors.
  • Provide in-depth technical support and product demonstrations, showcasing the unique benefits and applications of SoilDri’s drying agents for diverse utility sectors.
  • Collaborate closely with the DOSG and marketing teams to tailor solutions to client needs and market demands.
  • Manage and grow a strong pipeline of sales opportunities to ensure consistent revenue growth across utilities sectors.
  • Keep up to date with industry regulations, trends, and competitor activity to continuously inform and adjust sales strategies.

·Attend industry events, conferences, and trade shows to promote SoilDri’s innovative solutions and develop new business networks.

Key Requirements:

  • Proven experience in technical sales within the utilities (gas, electricity, water, telecoms, hydrogen), highways, or construction sectors.
  • Strong knowledge of AMP8, street works materials, and the regulations governing the various utility sectors.
  • Ability to translate technical solutions into commercial value for clients.
  • Exceptional communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
  • Self-motivated, results-driven, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Willingness to travel as required to meet clients and attend relevant industry events.
