Job summary

Thomas Lee Recruitment is recruiting an experienced Technical Sales Engineer for a established machinery movement specialist in the Northampton area. You will identify opportunities, visit customer sites, and develop proposals with the technical and operations teams to win orders.

You will manage your own pipeline, build repeat business through strong relationships, and talk to engineering managers, operations teams and business owners about practical engineering solutions.

Qualifications

• Track record in technical sales.
• Experience in machinery movement, crane hire, contract lifting or industrial installation.
• Proactive, commercially aware and capable of managing your own pipeline.

Responsibilities

• Identify and develop opportunities with manufacturers, engineering businesses and machinery suppliers.
• Visit customer sites to understand upcoming projects and requirements.
• Work with the technical and operations teams to develop proposals and quotations.
• Follow opportunities through from initial enquiry to securing the order.
• Build repeat business through strong relationships and reliable follow-up.
