Job summary

GBR Recruitment Ltd are working exclusively with a leading specialist vehicle & specialist plant machinery business to recruit an experienced Internal Sales Engineer. The role covers technical drawings, product specifications and weight calculations, with liaising to OEMs and suppliers to ensure installation requirements are met.

The successful candidate will transition from a sales/engineering background into an office-based role, producing AutoCAD drawings and supporting high capital machinery

Qualifications

• Degree in engineering or mechanical field.
• Experience in high-value capital machinery environments.
• Proficient in AutoCAD and technical drawing.
• Experience liaising with OEMs and suppliers.

Responsibilities

• Produce technical drawings, product specifications & weight calculations for chassis mounted equipment.
• Liaise with OEMs, chassis manufacturers, bodybuilders & portals to meet specs and installation requirements.
• Proactively support the sales team with high capital machinery sales.
• Help ensure products meet customer specifications & requirements.
• Provide technical & specification support for all customer orders.
• Act as the key technical linchpin between the sales department & the workshop.
• Support the sales department with tender bids & proposals ensuring technical specifications are met in full.
• Play a key role in NPD & services solutions for customers.
• Develop & maintain strong relationships with 3rd party suppliers including vehicle chassis suppliers & other suppliers of ancillary equipment.
• Liaise with internal departments regarding product specifications & pricing.
• Carry out product training.
