Job summary

AMA Admin is seeking a technically focused Technical Sales Engineer to join their Manchester team. The role combines engineering expertise with customer-facing duties, delivering technical solutions for building envelope systems and performing structural calculations.

You will engage with engineers, architects, and contractors across the UK, providing compliant engineering guidance while supporting project opportunities.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of experience in structural/engineering-focused roles.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
• Strong understanding of composite floors, roof decking, and building envelope products.
• Experience carrying out structural calculations and wind loading requirements.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support and engineering advice on floors, roof decking, and building envelope systems.
• Prepare structural estimations, calculations, and technical proposals in response to customer enquiries.
• Interpret drawings, specifications and project requirements.
• Carry out manual structural calculations where required.
• Ensure solutions are technically compliant and commercially viable.
• Collaborate with engineers, architects, contractors, and clients across the project lifecycle.
• Deliver technical presentations and product demonstrations where required.
• Identify new project opportunities and maintain strong customer relationships.
