Job Purpose:
A Technical Sales Engineer at SureScreen Materials plays a pivotal role in driving the company's growth.
As a key member of the sales team, your primary objective is to grow current accounts and find new accounts.
Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities:
- Account Management. Grow net spend of current accounts by maintaining and developing relationships with current clients, identify other contacts within businesses, identify other sites within business and harness referrals and account suppliers. Build relationship with contacts through periodic calls, emails. Remote or face to face contact.
- New Business Sales. Creating and implementing strategies to successfully reach new business opportunities. Identifying new business opportunities, including new markets, new clients & new partnerships. To generate new or convert current leads into clients for the business by researching and contacting key personnel within potential businesses, sending information and arrange meetings.
- Technical Quotation. To receive enquiries and produce suitable technical quotations listing key details, work proposal and costs to enable the whole enquiry to be passed to the technical team to deliver.
- Responding to all customer correspondence (Internal/ External), making outbound calls (lead generation) and supporting a shared email inbox.
- Accurately maintaining CRM with client information
- Collaborating with marketing and sales teams to share ideas and maximise cross selling opportunities
- Collaborating with technical team to identify growth opportunities through new clients, new industries, new markets, new services & new accreditations
- Attending conferences and events to build relationships with industry partners and staying up to date with new trends
- Creating sales forecasts and actively working towards reaching them. Meet agreed sales and profit targets through new customer acquisition.
- Possessing a strong understanding of the company's services, the competition in the industry and positioning

Qualifications, skills, and experience:
• Technical background with 2+ years experience OR a degree in science, material science, engineering, metallurgy (essential)
• 2+ years' experience in B2B sales (desirable)
• Able to generate own leads
• Excellent customer service and communication skills
• High attention to detail
• Maintaining a positive 'can do' attitude
• Is self-motivated and results driven
• Is a resilient and reliable team player
