Strategic Resources European Recruitment Consultants Ltd in Aberdeen is seeking an experienced Technical Safety Project Lead for a permanent role with hybrid working.

You will lead technical safety activities across projects, influence stakeholders, develop safety plans, manage contractor deliverables, and ensure compliance with industry standards.

This role requires strong leadership, clear communication, and the ability to deliver risk-based decisions across the project lifecycle.

Qualifications

• Degree in Chemical Engineering, Process Engineering or related engineering discipline.
• Demonstrable experience in Technical Safety within offshore, energy, process or other major hazard industries.
• Strong understanding of technical safety legislation, industry standards, verification requirements and risk management principles.
• Experience supporting brownfield modifications, management of change processes and project delivery activities.
• Proven ability to manage stakeholders, contractors and specialist consultants across complex project environments.
• Excellent planning, communication and influencing skills, with the ability to work effectively both independently and collaboratively.

Our client an oil and gas company is seeking an experienced Technical Safety Project Lead for a permanent position based in Aberdeen with hybrid working in place.

The role requires an experienced Technical Safety Project Lead; to play a key role in ensuring technical safety is embedded throughout the project lifecycle, helping to deliver projects that are safe, compliant and fit for purpose.

This is a highly collaborative role where Communication is essential. You will bring stakeholders together, align priorities and ensure technical safety requirements are clearly understood, integrated and delivered throughout every stage of a project.

You will act as a trusted technical authority, influencing decisions, challenging where appropriate and supporting robust, risk-based outcomes. Through a culture of Empowerment & Accountability, you will help teams make informed decisions while maintaining the highest standards of safety, integrity and compliance.

Working closely with project teams, asset teams and specialist contractors, you will provide technical safety leadership across a diverse portfolio of projects. From early project screening through to execution and verification, you will ensure risks are identified, managed and communicated effectively.
