VF Corp.’s Altra Running brand seeks a Technical Representative for the North of England and West of Scotland, with focus on Manchester and Liverpool. The role combines product expertise, retail training and event support, requiring strong relationships with retailers, medical professionals and running communities.

You will travel, train staff, manage branding, and help grow the medical programme while representing a dynamic, global running brand with autonomy and support from VF.

• Experience in retail, field support, or technical representation.

• Self-motivated, well-organised and proactive.
• Willingness to travel with a valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Deliver product training to retail staff in-store and outdoors.

**Technical Representative - Altra Running (UK)** **Region: North of England and West of Scotland****Full time, Fixed Term Contract****Start: ASAP****Package: £26,000 - £30,000 + company car + benefit**s Altra Running has a fantastic new opportunity for a motivated Technical Representative to join the team and to focus on building relationships and supporting our retail partners in the North of England and West of Scotland with particular focus on the cities of Manchester and Liverpool. The role also includes the added responsibility of helping build our Medical programme working with Podiatrists, Physiotherapists, and other medical professionals who can promote and recommend Altra Footwear. This role combines product expertise, retail training, event support, and community engagement to strengthen Altra’s presence in the region. You’ll work closely with retail partners, sales teams, medical professionals and local running communities to drive brand awareness and sales performance.**How You Will Make a Difference** * Deliver engaging product training sessions to retail staff, both in-store and outdoors* Act as the regional product expert and key contact between Altra, sales reps, and retail accounts, sharing valuable field insights* Build strong relationships with retail partners to motivate and support store teams* Ensure high-quality in-store brand presentation through effective merchandising and POS execution* Represent Altra at trade shows, store openings, and consumer-facing events* Build strong relationships with Podiatrists, Physiotherapists and other medical professionals who can recommend Altra Footwear to their patients.* Lead community engagement efforts and support local brand ambassadors* Provide regular reports, manage budgets, and maintain company equipment and vehicles**Skills for success** * Experience in retail, field support, or technical representation - ideally in the running or outdoor industry* Strong passion for running and deep knowledge of running footwear* Excellent communication and presentation skills.* Self-motivated, well-organized, and comfortable working independently* Strong relationship-building skills and a proactive, hands-on attitude* High Willingness to travel and a valid driver’s license (company car provided)**What’s in it For You** We’re in the business of unleashing human potential, driven by the ideas, energy and commitment of our people.
