Job summary

AWD Online is seeking a motivated Technical Report Writer to develop specialist knowledge within a niche working at height and construction environment in Nottingham. You will prepare technical reports and quotations following inspections of chimneys, masts, church steeples, steel structures and safety systems.

You will work with experienced technical surveyors, support the design and quotation of lightning protection systems and have opportunities to gain accreditation in BS EN 62305.

Qualifications

• GCSEs Maths and English required or equivalent.
• BTEC/NVQ Level 2 in construction or related field desirable.
• Strong attention to detail and methodical approach.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Good IT skills with MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Prepare Technical Reports from inspections of structures and working at height systems.
• Create quotations for remedial works, inspections, installations and technical services.
• Assist with lightning protection: risk assessments, designs and quotations.
• Maintain accuracy of documents, figures and supporting information.
• Communicate with clients and build professional relationships.
