Job summary

Central High Rise Ltd is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Technical Report Writer to join our Nottingham technical team. You will prepare reports and quotations after inspections of industrial chimneys, masts, church steeples, and steel structures, contributing to project delivery and client relationships.

The role offers full training, salaries based on experience, and opportunities to gain BS EN 62305 accreditation.

Qualifications

• GCSE (9–4 / A–C) including Maths and English, or equivalent.
• BTEC/NVQ Level 2 in construction or related subject.
• Strong attention to detail and methodical approach to work.
• Organised and able to manage multiple tasks.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience in working at height.
• Genuine interest in engineering, construction or technical reporting.
• Previous report writing experience within construction, engineering or a technical environment.
• Good understanding of working at height and health & safety regulations.
• Knowledge of construction methods, materials and legal regulations.
• Experience in test, inspection and installation of systems.
• Ability to support new business generation.

Responsibilities

• Prepare technical reports and quotations after inspections.
• Support design, risk assessment and quotation of lightning protection systems.
• Develop specialist technical knowledge while communicating with clients.
• Support project delivery and business growth.
• Collaborate with experienced technical surveyors.
• Ensure safety and compliance during site inspections.
