Job summary

Sulzer Leeds Service Centre is seeking a Technical Repair Coordinator to act as the technical link between inspection, production, suppliers and customers, ensuring repair scopes are defined, costed and delivered efficiently. You will coordinate in-house and external repair activities, helping ensure projects are completed safely, on time and to high quality standards.

• Experience in service/repair/manufacturing environments.
• Strong understanding of rotating equipment or pumps.
• Time-served mechanical background or relevant engineering experience.
• Commercial awareness and repair costing knowledge.
• Experience using SAP or another ERP system.
• Excellent planning, organisational and communication skills.
• Ability to collaborate across departments and external suppliers.
• Proactive problem solver with strong attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Review inspection findings and develop repair proposals.
• Coordinate technical repair activities across internal and external suppliers.
• Obtain quotations and cost estimates for repair scopes.
• Produce repair sketches, marked-up drawings and technical documentation where required.
• Liaise with production teams to ensure accurate work instructions and timings are captured.
• Support supplier management and technical query resolution.
• Coordinate the movement and storage of repair components through the repair process.
• Ensure SAP and associated documentation is updated accurately.
• Drive continuous improvement across repair processes and supplier performance.
• Promote and uphold Sulzer's strong safety culture at all times.

About the Leeds Service Centre

The Leeds Service Centre is a specialist facility focused on the inspection, repair, refurbishment and overhaul of critical rotating equipment for customers across a wide range of industries. Our team helps customers maximise reliability, reduce downtime and extend asset life through expert engineering solutions. With continued investment in facilities, people and capability, Leeds is set to become an even more important part of Sulzer's UK service network.

The Role

As Technical Repair Coordinator, you will act as the technical link between inspection, production, suppliers and customers, ensuring repair scopes are accurately defined, costed and delivered efficiently.

Working closely with our engineering and operations teams, you will coordinate both in-house and externally sourced repair activities, helping to ensure projects are completed safely, on time and to the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Review inspection findings and develop repair proposals.
• Coordinate technical repair activities across internal and external suppliers.
• Obtain quotations and cost estimates for repair scopes.
• Produce repair sketches, marked‑up drawings and technical documentation where required.
• Liaise with production teams to ensure accurate work instructions and timings are captured.
• Support supplier management and technical query resolution.
• Coordinate the movement and storage of repair components through the repair process.
• Ensure SAP and associated documentation is updated accurately.
• Support inspection activities, including incoming goods inspection and NDT where required.
• Drive continuous improvement across repair processes and supplier performance.
• Promote and uphold Sulzer's strong safety culture at all times.

What We're Looking Fo r

• Experience within a service, repair or manufacturing environment.
• Strong understanding of rotating equipment, pumps or related mechanical systems.
• Time-served mechanical background or relevant engineering experience.
• Commercial awareness and an understanding of repair costing.
