Job summary

Sulzer in Birmingham is seeking a skilled Pump Service Engineer to join our service centre, supporting overhaul, repair and testing of pumps and rotating equipment for customers across water, energy, industrial and infrastructure sectors.

This is a workshop-based role in a state-of-the-art facility, with occasional on-site inspections, fault finding and breakdown support across the UK. You will work with experienced engineers and technicians, focusing on quality and safety.

Qualifications

• Experience servicing, repairing or overhauling pumps and rotating equipment.
• Strong mechanical engineering and fault-finding skills.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings and technical documentation.
• A flexible approach, with willingness to undertake site work and travel when required.
• Commitment to quality, safety and customer service.

Responsibilities

• Dismantling, inspecting, repairing and rebuilding a wide range of pumps and rotating equipment
• Diagnosing faults and recommending repair solutions
• Conducting performance testing and quality inspections
• Producing accurate service reports and technical documentation
• Supporting site activities including maintenance, installation, commissioning and breakdown response
• Working safely and professionally at customer locations across the UK when required

About the role

Sulzer is looking for a skilled Pump Service Engineer to join our Birmingham Service Centre, supporting the overhaul, repair and testing of critical pumping equipment for customers across the water, energy, industrial and infrastructure sectors. This is primarily a workshop-based role, working within our state-of-the-art facility alongside experienced engineers and technicians. However, flexibility is essential, as you'll also support customers on-site with inspections, fault finding, maintenance and emergency breakdown activities when required.

What You'll Be Doing

Monday - Thursday : 07:00 - 15:45
Friday : 07:00 - 14:30
