Job summary

Zachary Daniels Recruitment is seeking a Technical & Regulatory Information Officer for a global cosmetics brand based in South Manchester. The role centers on collecting technical information, maintaining Product Information Files, and supporting regulatory submissions to launch products across markets.

Working with laboratories and regulatory partners, you will ensure data accuracy and assist in regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Degree in Cosmetic Science, Chemistry or related scientific discipline.
• Strong interest in cosmetics, ingredients and formulations.
• Ability to interpret scientific/technical information.
• Excellent organisation and attention to detail.
• Methodical handling of large amounts of data and documentation.
• Confident communication with suppliers and external partners.
• Proficient in Excel and general IT.

Responsibilities

• Gather and review technical information including formulas, ingredient/INCI details, product claims and testing information.
• Support creation and maintenance of Product Information Files (PIFs) for cosmetic products.
• Liaise with external laboratories and regulatory partners to request documentation and track progress.
• Coordinate information from suppliers and overseas manufacturing partners to ensure data is complete and up-to-date.
• Maintain product certification information (vegan, cruelty-free, etc.).
• Support product notifications and registrations across cosmetic regulatory platforms.
• Organise and maintain technical and regulatory databases and documentation.
• Develop knowledge of cosmetic legislation, ingredients, product safety and regulatory requirements across markets.
• Support wider Technical & Regulatory team with launches and compliance activity.

Technical & Regulatory Information Officer | Cosmetics & Beauty Brand | South Manchester | 1-day WFH | Global Beauty Brand

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join a fast-growing global cosmetics and beauty business in a newly created Technical & Regulatory Information role.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a Chemistry, Cosmetic Science or related Science graduate looking to build a career within the beauty industry. You don't need years of regulatory experience - we're interested in someone with a strong scientific understanding, excellent attention to detail and a genuine interest in how cosmetic products are formulated, tested and brought to market.

Working closely with the wider Regulatory and Compliance team, you'll play an important role in ensuring product information is accurate, complete and ready for products to launch across international markets.

The Role

• Gathering and reviewing technical information including formulas, ingredient/INCI details, product claims and testing information

About You

• A degree in Cosmetic Science, Chemistry or another relevant scientific discipline - industry experience is advantageous
• A genuine interest in cosmetics, beauty products, ingredients and formulations
• The ability to understand and interpret scientific/technical information
• Excellent organisation skills and strong attention to detail
• A methodical approach to handling large amounts of information and documentation
• Confident communication skills, particularly when liaising with suppliers and external partners
• Good Excel and general IT skills
• Someone proactive, curious and keen to learn and develop within the cosmetics industry
