We are recruiting on behalf of our client, a leading organisation within the helicopter and aviation industry, for a Technical Records Administrator to join their team based at Oxford Airport.

This is an excellent opportunity for a detail-oriented and organised individual to join a specialist aviation environment, supporting the management, review and maintenance of essential technical records.

The successful candidate will play an important role in ensuring technical documentation is accurate, up to date and compliant with relevant company procedures and aviation regulations. You will work closely with the Technical Records Supervisor and wider engineering and continuing airworthiness teams, helping maintain accurate records that support aircraft safety and airworthiness.

We are looking for someone methodical, proactive and confident working with digital systems, who can manage competing priorities and deliver work to agreed deadlines.

The Role

As a Technical Records Administrator, you will be responsible for the day-to-day review, processing and administration of aircraft maintenance records, ensuring that all relevant information is accurately recorded within the company's record management system.

You will support the wider technical and airworthiness teams by maintaining documentation, updating aircraft and component logbooks, preparing records for audits and ensuring records are properly archived.

Key Responsibilities
  • Review and process technical records, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company procedures and applicable aviation regulations.
  • Update the record management system with regulatory, optional and non-routine maintenance task completion details.
  • Maintain and update aircraft and component logbooks.
  • Copy, organise and archive aircraft maintenance records in accordance with established procedures.
  • Return component log cards to the relevant materials management team for core returns.
  • Assist with the preparation of technical documentation for regulatory audits.
  • Generate monthly flying-hour reports and maintain accurate supporting records.
  • Identify discrepancies, missing information or potential compliance issues and take appropriate action.
  • Provide administrative and technical records support across the wider continuing airworthiness management team.
  • Work closely with colleagues and management to ensure records are maintained accurately and within agreed timescales.
  • Undertake additional duties as required by the department's management team.
Essential Skills and Experience

The successful candidate will demonstrate:

  • A methodical approach to work and excellent attention to detail.
  • The ability to work independently, use initiative and contribute effectively as part of a team.
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to prioritise tasks against deadlines.
  • A proactive approach to identifying errors, discrepancies and potential issues before they affect operations.
  • Good computer literacy, including confidence using Google Docs and digital record management systems.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • The ability to communicate professionally with colleagues and stakeholders at different levels.
  • A reliable, flexible and professional approach to work.
Desirable Skills and Experience

The following would be advantageous:

  • Previous experience in an aviation, engineering or technical records environment.
  • Knowledge of Continuing Airworthiness Management Organisation (CAMO) procedures.
  • Familiarity with UK Civil Aviation Authority regulations, particularly Part-CAMO and Part-145.
  • Experience using aviation maintenance or continuing airworthiness management software.
  • Knowledge of aircraft maintenance documentation, component records and technical logbooks.
  • An understanding of aviation human factors and airworthiness compliance.
Qualifications
Essential:
  • A minimum of five GCSEs at Grade C or above, or equivalent recognised qualifications such as NVQs or BTECs.
Desirable:
  • An aviation-related degree or equivalent qualification.
  • Recognised Part-CAMO or Part-145 training.
  • Aviation human factors training.
Additional Requirements
  • Candidates must have the legal right to work in the UK. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
