Job summary

Greencore, a leading UK food producer, is seeking a Technical Controller at our Atherstone site to head up the site technical function and lead a multi-disciplinary team to maintain food safety and quality standards.

You will sit on the Site Leadership Team, drive technical governance, audit compliance, and develop the QMS and technical strategy to meet customer, legal and business objectives.

Qualifications

• Degree in Food Science or equivalent and relevant professional qualifications.
• Advanced food hygiene Level 4, HACCP Level 4 and allergen management Level 3.
• Lead assessor qualification and SEDEX awareness.
• Experience creating and implementing a QMS and technical strategy.
• Ability to lead multi-disciplinary teams and manage external contracts.

Responsibilities

• Head up the site technical function and lead a multidisciplinary team.
• Ensure compliance with food safety, quality and legal standards.
• Act as senior interface with customers in joint business planning.
• Manage technical governance and audit compliance across functions.
• Develop and deliver an integrated technical and hygiene plan.
• Drive KPI improvements and supplier management initiatives.
