Job summary

Greencore Desserts Newark is seeking a senior Technical Lead to guide the site’s technical function, setting the agenda for food safety, quality, and legality in a fast-paced chilled desserts operation.

You will lead a large cross-functional team, drive continuous improvement, manage audits (BRCGS/retailer), and develop KPIs and corrective actions, while working closely with Operations, Engineering and NPD.

Qualifications

• Experience leading a large technical team in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
• Strong knowledge of HACCP, microbiological risk management, hygiene and pathogen control.
• Proven track record in audits (BRCGS/retailer) and corrective actions.
• Ability to influence at senior level and collaborate across functions.

Responsibilities

• Lead the site’s technical function and set the technical agenda.
• Ensure standards are communicated, documented and met (food safety, quality, legality).
• Oversee HACCP/risk evaluation and control development for new processes/products.
• Drive a culture of quality and continuous improvement with KPIs and action plans.
• Manage technical audits and non-conformance responses with internal teams and customers.
• Lead, motivate and develop the technical team in line with Greencore values.
