Job summary

Greencore Newark is recruiting for a Technical Controller at our Newark site. The role leads food safety, quality, legality and customer technical requirements across the technical function, and directs the team to maintain high standards in a fast-paced production environment.

You will define the technical agenda, support NPD and product launches, and embed a culture of quality and continuous improvement across the site.

Qualifications

• Understands how the technical department can support the delivery of the Business unit strategy and site business plan.
• Gain detailed knowledge of new Materials and Processes outside of your category area.
• Supplier Management and Raw Material Food Safety controls.

Responsibilities

• Ensure relevant HACCP-based standards are communicated, understood and applied to meet Food Safety, Quality and Legality requirements.
• Lead and understand the site HACCP, evaluate risk, and define controls before new processes, products or materials.
• Provide leadership for the quality management systems for production of food to safety, legal and quality standards.
• Manage technical audits and drive a culture of readiness and non-conformance close-out.
• Lead, motivate and inspire the technical team in line with Greencore values for development and improvement.
• Develop and implement KPIs to measure and drive continuous improvement with action plans.
