Ambition is seeking a technically minded Technical Project Manager to lead complex technology initiatives across software, cloud, and infrastructure teams. Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional experience in project management
• Hands-on experience in infrastructure, SRE, DevOps, platform engineering or related technical discipline
• Strong understanding of SDLC, cloud technologies and modern engineering practices
• Proven track record delivering complex tech projects with multiple teams and stakeholders
• Excellent communication, stakeholder management and problem-solving skills
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, IT or related field
• Experience in Financial Services or fintech environments preferred

We are partnering with a leading technology-focused hedge fund to hire a Technical Project Manager. This is an excellent opportunity for a technically strong professional who has moved into project management from an infrastructure, platform engineering, SRE, or DevOps background and enjoys delivering complex technology initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Lead the delivery of technology projects across software engineering, infrastructure, cloud, and platform teams.
• Manage project scope, timelines, budgets, dependencies, risks, and stakeholder communications.
• Coordinate cross-functional teams to ensure successful project execution and delivery.
• Drive project governance, reporting, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Partner with engineering, architecture, operations, and business stakeholders to align delivery with business objectives.
• Identify and mitigate risks while maintaining delivery quality and operational stability.

Requirements

• 5+ years of professional experience, including several years as a Technical Project Manager.
• Previous hands-on experience in Infrastructure Engineering, Site Reliability Engineering (SRE), DevOps, Platform Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
• Strong understanding of software development lifecycles, infrastructure environments, cloud technologies, and modern engineering practices.
• Proven track record of delivering complex technology projects involving multiple teams and stakeholders.
• Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Experience within Financial Services, Investment Banking, Capital Markets, FinTech, or other highly technical environments is preferred.

Preferred Skills

• Strong Linux knowledge, including experience working directly on Linux environments.
• Experience delivering projects using Agile, Scrum, Kanban, or hybrid methodologies.
• Familiarity with AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
• Understanding of infrastructure, networking, security, and enterprise technology ecosystems.
• Ability to thrive in fast-paced, highly technical environments.
• Strong technical foundation, enabling effective communication with engineering teams and senior stakeholders.
