Job summary

Selby Jennings represents a world-leading hedge fund seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer to join their Platform Engineering team. You will design, build, and maintain internal developer platforms and enterprise-grade CI/CD infrastructure that executes millions of builds annually.

The role requires 7+ years in Platform Engineering, DevOps or SRE, with strong Python or GoLang development, expertise in CI/CD ecosystems, and experience at scale across cloud and on-prem environments.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of hands-on experience in SRE, DevOps, or Platform Engineering roles within complex, distributed systems environments.
• Strong software engineering skills with Python or GoLang.
• Deep expertise with CI/CD platforms and automation of SDLC processes (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Octopus Deploy).
• Experience with critical artifacts infrastructure that serve millions of requests per day.
• Experience architecting and implementing testable, scalable, and reliable software and infrastructure solutions.
• Deep expertise with containers and Kubernetes, including application management and orchestration.
• Experience building and maintaining RESTful APIs.
• Proficiency with configuration/infrastructure as code (e.g., Terraform, Kubernetes Operators).

Responsibilities

• Design and automate deployment pipelines and operational processes to improve efficiency, reliability, and developer autonomy.
• Champion SRE and DevOps best practices—including observability, automation, CI/CD, and infrastructure as code—across cloud and on-premises environments.
• Deploy and maintain CI/CD pipelines; write code for infrastructure optimization; manage operations, including on-call duties, Kubernetes, and training.
• Collaborate with development teams to enhance service stability, scalability, and fault tolerance through mentoring, documentation, and hands-on support.
• Participate in on-call rotation and incident response, sharing responsibility for production reliability.
