Job summary

Yorkshire Water is hiring for a Technical Project Assistant in Bradford. The role sits within the Infrastructure team and involves helping deliver site-based technical assurance and health and safety excellence while engaging with internal and external stakeholders.

The position is hybrid, permanent, and 37 hours per week. The package includes a strong salary range (£32,808 - £41,009), a company car, and an incentive bonus up to £1,000, plus a robust benefits plan and pension.

  • Confident influencing and negotiation skills.
  • Experience in a commercially focused and/or regulated environment (desirable).
  • Operational experience working on the clean water network (desirable)
  • Full, valid UK driving licence

Responsibilities

  • Driving excellent standards in health, safety, risk management, and control of work to meet Yorkshire Water's Safety Policy.
  • Reporting accidents, hazards, near misses, and dangerous occurrences within required timescales.
  • Working as part of the Infrastructure team to support wider team objectives through strong individual performance.
  • On-site technical assurance and auditing.
  • Building and maintaining relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Identifying and escalating health and safety issues during audits, with authority to stop work if necessary.
  • Auditing site resources, plant, and equipment to support contractor payment claims.
  • Providing technical support and training based on audit findings.

Location:

Hybrid working, Buttershaw, Bradford, from Summer 2026 Valley Park, Leeds. The role is predominantly site-based but we do have a hybrid working policy
