Job summary

Thales is recruiting a Technical Product Owner - Hardware Engineering Environments to modernise the engineering toolset used by over 500 hardware engineers across secure networks and cloud platforms in the UK.

You will shape a modern environment, shepherd the backlog, and coordinate with engineering leaders to ensure fit-for-purpose tools and architecture across sites such as Crawley, Reading, and others.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electronic, or Electrical engineering (or equivalent experience).
• Experience in hardware engineering environments and product ownership responsibilities.
• Strong understanding of hardware engineering processes and best practices.

Responsibilities

• Represent the needs of engineering users and champion effective ways of working.
• Own and prioritise the product backlog for the hardware engineering environments team.
• Define requirements, acceptance criteria and feature priorities.
• Validate and approve completed features.
• Collect user feedback and drive continuous improvement.
• Lead evolution, consolidation and migration of hardware engineering applications.
• Align UK toolsets with Thales Group roadmaps.
• Define and deliver modern engineering environment solutions across secure networks and cloud platforms.
• Drive retirement of legacy tools and reduce technical debt.
• Plan migration or archiving of programme data.
