Job summary

Thales in Crawley is seeking a Technical Product Owner for Hardware Engineering Environments to modernise and unify engineering tools used by over 500 hardware engineers. You will lead backlog, define requirements and manage cross-functional delivery across secure networks and cloud platforms.

You will act as Technical Authority, align with engineering leadership, and drive improvements to engineering environments while reducing legacy tools and technical debt.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electronic, Electrical or related engineering discipline is required or considered with relevant experience.
• Experience defining, architecting, implementing or managing hardware engineering development environments.

Responsibilities

• Represent the needs of engineering users and champion effective ways of working.
• Own and prioritise the product backlog for your team.
• Define requirements, acceptance criteria and feature priorities.
• Validate and approve completed features.
• Collect user feedback through reviews and continuous engagement.
• Lead the evolution, consolidation and migration of hardware engineering applications.
• Align UK engineering toolsets with Thales Group roadmaps.
• Define and deliver modern engineering environment solutions across secure networks and cloud platforms.
• Drive retirement of legacy tools and reduction of technical debt.
• Plan migration, retention or archiving of programme data.
• Make technical and product decisions for your area.
• Ensure tooling and services work together effectively.
• Collaborate with Product Owners, Technical Leads, Portfolio Managers and Delivery Managers.
