Job summary

Balfour Beatty - Regional Civils is seeking a Senior Head of Pre-Construction to lead and grow our Internal Drainage Board market presence. You will champion technical pre-construction, build long-term relationships with IDBs and stakeholders, and shape opportunities from early stages to win new work across the IDB and FCERM sectors.

This role focuses on pumping stations and related civil engineering works, offering leadership across technical, design, commercial and planning aspects to deliver

Qualifications

• Senior pre-construction experience in civil engineering or water sectors.
• Ability to lead technical discussions with IDBs, Environment Agency and stakeholders.
• Experience turning market insight into a sustainable pipeline of opportunities.

Responsibilities

• Lead development of Balfour Beatty's IDB capability and pipeline across Regional Civils.
• Develop opportunity strategies with design, estimating and commercial teams.
• Lead early contractor involvement and pre-construction discussions with customers and partners.
• Coordinate technical, design, commercial, planning and estimating inputs into opportunities.
• Provide leadership around pumping stations and MEICA integration with civil delivery.
• Ensure solutions are buildable, commercially viable and aligned with customer requirements.
