Job summary

Balfour Beatty is seeking a senior Technical Head of Pre-Construction to lead and grow its IDB capability across Regional Civils. You will blend technical pre-construction expertise with strong customer relationships, work-winning ability and strategic market development.

You’ll lead early discussions with clients and partners, coordinating design, estimating, planning and commercial inputs to shape practical, innovative solutions for pumping stations and related civil works.

Qualifications

• Experience in civil engineering pre-construction or project delivery.
• Knowledge of Internal Drainage Board, FCERM, water, pumping station environments.
• Established relationships with IDBs, Environment Agency, consultants and stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Lead development of IDB capability and pipeline across Regional Civils.
• Build long-term relationships with water industry stakeholders.
• Identify and shape IDB and flood resilience opportunities with teams.
• Provide technical leadership in pumping stations, civils and MEICA integration.
• Ensure solutions are buildable, commercially viable and responsive to client needs.
