Job summary

Nestlé Halifax in West Yorkshire is seeking a Technical Operator to keep our confectionery production lines operating safely, reliably and efficiently. You will combine practical engineering with day-to-day line support on a 12-hour rotating shift to resolve faults and complete first-line repairs.

You will protect product quality by working with the Nestlé Quality Management System, contribute to continuous improvement and share knowledge through coaching during line activity and changeovers.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 in a relevant engineering discipline; evidence of certification required.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose faults and perform first-line mechanical repairs.
• Support line performance by understanding equipment and KPIs; review daily results.
• Protect product quality by working with the Nestlé Quality Management System and site standards.
• Contribute to 5S, Total Performance Management and focused problem-solving to improve safety, quality and performance.
• Share knowledge through training and coaching during line activity and changeovers.
