Job summary

The National Centre for Circus Arts in London is seeking a Senior Technical Operations Manager to lead the Centre's technical delivery across all activities, ensuring safety and high-quality performance.

You will manage both in-house and contract specialists, oversee rigging and production elements, and drive technical health and safety, strategic planning, budgeting, and cross-department collaboration with the COO and Head of Operations to shape future infrastructure.

Qualifications

• Lead Technical Department with vision and direction for innovative and excellent operations.
• Strong collaboration with COO and Head of Operations for planning infrastructure and technical needs.
• Represent Technical Department in planning meetings, partnerships and industry events.

Responsibilities

• Provide vision and direction for the Technical Department, driving innovation and operational excellence.
• Work with the Chief Operating Officer and Head of Operations to plan for future infrastructure and technical needs.
• Represent the Technical Department in internal and external planning meetings, partnerships, and industry events.
• Work with the Head of Operations to liaise with professional consultants (e.g., engineers, architects, quantity surveyors) on rigging and lighting infrastructure projects, capital improvements, and the development of safe and efficient technical systems.
