Job summary

ATG Entertainment's Richmond Theatre in London seeks a Technical and Buildings Manager to lead the technical and facilities teams, ensuring safe, high-quality productions at a 126-year-old historic venue. Reporting to the Theatre Director, you will manage budget, schedule rosters, coordinate with central operations, and drive safety, maintenance and customer-focused service for all events.

Qualifications

• IOSHH Certificate and related safety qualifications are essential.
• Working at Height harness, rescue and pyrotechnics qualifications required.
• Proven experience managing technical teams in live performance venues.
• Experience in staff management, leadership, and training.
• Knowledge of safety legislation and developing safe systems of work.
• Experience in managing buildings and building facilities.
• Familiarity with ETC Eos, counterweight flying systems, and sound systems (Allen & Heath).
• Excellent written and oral communication; proficient in MS Office.
• Ability to work under pressure and autonomously; flexible working hours.

Responsibilities

• Lead a cohesive technical and maintenance structure for the venue.
• Act as main contact for Producers, Tour Managers and Contractors ensuring high service levels.
• Oversee safety compliance and welfare across technical operations.
• Participate in venue senior management and contribute to business success.
• Plan budgets and manage building and technical expenditure.
• Schedule rosters and ensure regulatory adherence and high service standards.
• Coordinate with ATG’s central Group Operations on properties and facilities.
• Lead on staff development, recruitment and performance management.
