Job summary

Flex is seeking a CPS Technical Manager in Hemel Hempstead to lead technical delivery for LV switchgear and critical power systems. This role supports SpinCo initiatives and will guide service engineers, subcontractors and cross-functional teams.

You will mentor engineers, drive process improvements, and ensure safety, quality and regulatory compliance across installations and service activities in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• LV Switchgear experience essential.
• Strong background in electrical maintenance and service delivery.
• Experience in technical leadership roles (Technical Manager/Engineering Manager).
• Ability to mentor engineers and manage resources and budgets.
• Excellent communication with customers and suppliers.

Responsibilities

• Act as the primary technical expert for CPS Operations and Sales teams.
• Ensure maintenance, installation, repair and commissioning are delivered safely and to high quality standards.
• Provide technical guidance for complex customer issues and escalations.
• Attend site surveys to assess requirements and risks.
• Plan and coordinate availability of parts, tools and test equipment.
• Brief service engineers and subcontractors on RAMS and safety expectations.
• Manage emergency call-out rota and on-call engineers.
• Review subcontractor RAMS for health, safety, and regulatory compliance.
• Deliver small projects and maintenance on time and to spec.
• Build relationships with customers and suppliers.
• Develop and maintain technical procedures and documentation.
• Lead technical investigations and root cause analyses.
