Ibstock Plc in Throckley, Tyne and Wear, invites a Technical Manager to lead our manufacturing team at the Throckley factory. You will oversee kiln and dryer operations, procure materials, drive continuous improvement, and ensure ISO 9001 and 14001 compliance while developing a high-performance technical and quality team.

Qualifications

• Demonstrable management experience.
• Knowledge of Kiln & Dryer Operations.
• Strong self-motivation and goal orientation.
• Effective communication at all levels of the business.
• Ability to meet targets and deadlines.
• Excellent organisational and procedural planning.
• High computer literacy with Microsoft Office.
• Leadership and people management skills.
• Structured problem-solving ability.

Responsabilités

• Procurement and testing of production materials.
• Manage clay extraction, stockpiling, blending and usage.
• Oversee daily kiln and dryer operations.
• Coordinate product development and innovation.
• Manage Factory Quality Assurance per ISO 9001.
• Manage Factory Environmental system ISO 14001.
• Liaise interdepartmentally to meet objectives.
• Lead and develop technical and quality teams.
• Apply IMS tools for continuous improvement.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, environment and quality.
• Collect and analyse production data to drive targets.
• Develop systems and standards for 5S housekeeping.
