Job summary

Manthorpe Building Products in Ripley, Derbyshire, is recruiting a Quality Manager to lead the site Quality function and ensure ISO 9001 compliance across the manufacturing operation. You will collaborate with Production, Engineering and Technical teams to drive QMS improvements, lead audits, and develop robust process controls from raw materials to finished goods.

Ideally you have extensive experience in plastics/high-volume manufacturing, strong data analytics, and a track record of coaching

Qualifications

• Experience working within a Quality Management System, preferably ISO 9001.
• Experience within a manufacturing environment, ideally plastics.
• Strong knowledge of quality tools including FMEA, Control Plans, SPC and MSA.
• Experience leading structured root cause analysis and corrective action.
• Strong data analysis and KPI management skills.
• Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement principles.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and improve the Quality Management System (QMS) in line with ISO 9001.
• Lead the internal audit programme and support external and customer audits, including ISO and BBA.
• Oversee product quality from raw materials through to final delivery.
• Champion APQP, FAIR and PPAP processes across new product introduction and validation.
• Lead root cause analysis and corrective action using structured methodologies including 8D, 5 Whys and Fishbone.
• Analyse quality data including scrap, rework, returns and other KPIs to identify trends and improvement opportunities.
• Drive Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives to reduce waste and improve product quality.
